You crack me up. Ah, remember the days of watching that movie on repeat? Yeah…..

Carrying the Banner is #5 on my marathon playlist (for the marathon, which I’m running this weekend, and never would have done if you hadn’t inspired me to set the goal of running the 10K last June
). That movie freaking rocks. The DVD has a “sing-a-long” feature that got us through a lot of long crazy nights in college….and my brother once got in trouble for trying to spin on the ceiling fan like the kid at the end of “King of New York.”

Last week I had occasion to actually use the phrase “Let’s soak ‘em for Crutchie.” It worked perfectly into the conversation. And yet, my dear husband did not get the reference. I had to explain it to him. That sure takes the oomph out of a punchline. Obviously, you kids did not make him watch it with you nearly enough.

J’avais fini par me lasser de tout le temps venir et que tu n’aies rien mis de nouveau et là je vois que tu as écris plein de choses. Youpi.

Ok delurking to say that I am so glad to find another Newsie fan out there. I posted about the newsies and got almost no response. I was saddened, but held onto the hope that I wasn’t the only one like me left out there:)
