All The Forces of Earth and Heaven. . .

Filed under: Odds and Ends - onewomansworld @ 11:46 am

…are conspiring together to bring down someone in the Daring Young Mom’s geographical region. My sister, Kathryn, from Daring Young Mom (I’d put a link, but there’s no point today) would like the word out that she is out of electrical/internet commission as a result of being smitten by the third natural disaster in the course of the last month. Just a teaser of what you have to expect in blogging stories when she and her local server come back up online: She was concerned about a tree that might fall on her neighbor’s house, as it was leaning precariously. She stood on their doorstep to warn them, knocked twice, and crunch. The tree fell through their garage right next to where she was standing.

This and much more you may expect when power comes back on to her server. For now, know that besides being stuck without power and heat, the Daring Young Family is doing alright! :)

  2. I am glad your sister is okay, Heather. I am actually in Bellevue, WA right now. My hubby had a business trip here and I decided to tag along because our anniversary is Monday. Not much to do today because most of the power is out. Our hotel was fortunate in that we did not lose power but most everywhere else in Bellevue did. We did get out for a drive but it was crazy. There are lots of trees down and debris. In all my years growing up here, I don’t think I ever remember hearing winds that strong. Crazy weather in these parts. Hope you are doing okay. Carrie:)

  8. Okay, I’m not glad to hear of her pain but WHEW! I was worried she’d had something horrible happen and had gone into the Witness Protection or Something. I tried reaching her and was coming up empty. I was planning on calling her Friday but maybe I’ll just wait until her life gets easier.
